Intel Rapid Response was designed to use an SSD as a cache drive for you OS Hard Drive to make it faster. With the low cost of SSD’s, people went ahead and put their OS on an SSD. This made the Intel Rapid Response useless. That is until now. With Intel’s 8th Generation CPU’s, you can now use it to setup an SSD cache drive for your storage hard drive. This is great for those on 8th Gen and above. But you can use ankther program called eBoostr to do the exact same thing on all of the lower gen systems too. When you setup eBoostr, just exclude all of your SSD’s from being cached.
