    Via Terminal

    To install and set the default directories, do the following:
    Code:

    sudo apt install conky conky-all
    mkdir -p ~/.config/autostart
    sudo xed ~/.config/autostart/conky.desktop

    Then add in this to the “conky.desktop” file you have opened with the text editor “xed”:

    [Desktop Entry]
    Type=Application
    Name=Conky
    Comment=Conky
    Exec=conky

    Next, you want to set your configuration file:

    sudo xed .conkyrc

    The “conkyrc” file is where you would insert the config file that you are going to use. Below is a few that I use:

    From that point on, you just run Conky by typing in just “conky”
